Briggs Marine and Environmental Services are based in Burntisland in Fife, United Kingdom. The Company supplies services across a range of industries working off shore in the marine sector with services ranging from vessel charter to diving projects to renewable energy, emergency response and salvage.

With the ability to create bespoke solutions for our clients and end to end project planning, Briggs also supply and train personnel, deal with pollution and oil spills, operate as an environmental consultancy and have many years of experience working with the oil and gas industry. Briggs offers "total solutions" to our clients, whatever the project and has the experience to advise on multiple areas of operation.

Our aim is to strengthen the long-term health of the offshore oil and gas industry in the United Kingdom by working closely with companies across the sector, governments and all other stakeholders to address the issues that affect your business.
The National Workboat Association (NWA) is the trade, skills and safety standards association for the workboat industry. Since its inception in 1994, the NWA has acted as a crucial point of liaison between its membership and key regulatory and industry bodies, such as the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). It has also driven the creation of safety, ... Moretechnical and best practice standards, provided a unifying platform for industry lobbying and debate, and delivered industry-recognised training and certification opportunities.

Core achievements include the introduction and subsequent revision of the MCA Code of Practice for the Safe Operation of Small Workboats – the “Workboat Code” – which acts as the recognised Technical Standard for UK workboats and has formed the basis for numerous international codes.

The NWA has a membership base of over 70 UK and European workboat owners and operators, collectively representing over 550 operational vessels.
The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) is a leading trade association representing the vast majority of contractors and the associated supply chain in the offshore marine construction industry worldwide. We have a membership of over 900 companies including contractors, suppliers, oil & gas companies, marine renewable energy companies ... Moreand numerous non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

IMCA was formed in 1995 through the merger of the former Association of Offshore Diving Contractors (AODC, formed in 1972) and the Dynamically Positioned Vessel Owners Association (DPVOA, formed in 1989). Consequently, our operational roots and technical credentials are second to none in our industry.

Our mission is to improve performance in the marine contracting industry. We achieve this by leveraging the expertise of our members through conferences, seminars and meetings, and in publishing leading standards of technical and operating guidance in key areas of safety, quality, and offshore performance. In addition, we represent our members in dialogue with other industry bodies, regulators, oil companies and renewable energy companies. IMCA holds consultative status at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and is very active in international regulatory and policy matters in the upstream industry.
