Blue Tech Demo Days 2018 — Discovering new technologies is still best done through live demonstrations. Therefore eight innovative and complementary companies active in the blue economy are joining forces with Flanders' Maritime Cluster and The Blue Cluster to demonstrate their technologies through a series of hands-on sessions on September 19th and ... More20th.

These sessions are available from 10:00 to 17:00 for those who were invited for this purpose, with reception until 19:00. During this time, participants also have the opportunity to meet their trusted, as well as new, suppliers and above all to experience 'live' how the technology and services of these suppliers can be integrated into efficient offshore solutions.

The Blue Tech Demo Days are free upon personal invitation, but registration is required.

The event is financially supported by the city of Bruges and the Factory for the Future Blue Energy, POM West Flanders.
Connections
dotOcean, founded in 2008 and located in Bruges, Belgium is a maritime technology company merging cloud AI, software and hardware to create enhanced navigation capabilities based on a SaaS platform. They created the Automate Your Boat unit which enables customers to build their own autonomous vessel. Merging this autopilot hardware with a cloud connection ... Moreallows the use of cloud based data products and application specific SaaS platforms which are able to automate many of the customers' processes.

In today's world most waterborne activities are still executed with manned vessels. These vessels require significant OPEX and CAPEX, mainly related to the presence of people on board of the vessel. Reducing these vessels to smaller, maybe even single purpose, autonomous platforms, cuts away most of the TCO.
