Companies join the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) because together they can have a positive and meaningful influence on the safety and productivity of the workforce they employ.

GWO members collaborate by sharing evidence and risk information such as injury statistics. This helps them identify areas of work in the wind power supply chain where the creation of standardised training can ensure safety for technicians, while delivering productivity benefits which grow as the standard becomes established.

We are a non-profit membership organisation where both wind turbine manufacturers and owners of wind turbines are eligible. Since our formation GWO has attracted many of the world's largest original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and wind turbine operators, training over 44,000 technicians in 2017.

It has over 450 members, active in over 50 countries, including wind turbine manufacturers with a leading share of the world wind power market, plus component suppliers, research institutes, national ... Morewind and renewables associations, developers, contractors, electricity providers, finance and insurance companies, and consultants.

WindEurope coordinates international policy, communications, research and analysis and provides various services to support members'​ requirements and needs to help their development, offering the best networking and learning opportunities in the sector.

WindEurope analyses, formulates and establishes policy positions for the wind industry on key strategic sectoral issues, cooperating with industry and research institutions on a number of market development and technology research projects. In addition, the lobbying activities undertaken by WindEurope help create a suitable legal framework within which members can successfully develop their businesses.
