CEDA ● IRO
The Central Dredging Association (CEDA), founded in 1978, is an international, independent professional society for all those involved in activities related to dredging, water-based infrastructure and dredged sediment management and who live and work in Europe, Africa or the Middle East. It is an easy-to-access leading platform for the exchange of ... Moreknowledge and an authoritative reference point for impartial technical and scientific information.

Through its publications, conferences, professional and educational activities and participation as non-governmental observer in numerous international regulatory bodies, CEDA fosters technological innovation, advancement of best practice and contributes to global sustainable development.

CEDA members – corporations, organisations and individuals – come from many different fields and include national government bodies and agencies, port and navigational authorities, owners of large infrastructures, dredging companies, equipment manufacturers, academia, research institutions, consultancy firms.

CEDA's views, positions as well as products and services are based on input from all professional groups within its membership and CEDA represents the common interests of all these fields.

CEDA has over 550 individual and 150 corporate members from 38 countries.
Established nearly half a century ago, the association IRO is an independent non-profit organisation that supports and promotes the interests of its nearly 425 member companies. Acting as the gateway to Dutch suppliers in the energy industry, the IRO mission is ultimately aimed at maintaining and strengthening the position of the Dutch Oil, Gas and ... MoreOffshore Renewable industry by creating a level playing field for its members. A sharp focus on cost efficiency, innovation and sustainability within the Dutch supply industry are instrumental to achieve this goal.

The IRO members consist of a wide variety of both multinationals and SMEs. They represent the entire supply chain within the Oil, Gas and Offshore Renewable industry, with activities covering: Engineering & Consultancy, Construction & Fabrication, Plant & Equipment Supply, Contracting & Installation, Exploration & Production and Personnel & HSE, both for offshore upstream oil & gas and offshore renewables (wind and marine energy).

The association focuses on three important topics that are vital for the continuity of the industry: Trade & Export Promotion, Innovation & Technology and Human Capital & Education. The range of services that IRO provides to its members varies from maintaining government & NGO relations and facilitating networking opportunities within the IRO community to participating in international trade missions and exhibitions as well as providing Business Intelligence and training courses.

Cone Penetrating Testing (CPT'18) will focus on the solution of geotechnical challenges using the cone penetration test CPT, CPT add-on measurements and companion in-situ penetration tools (such as full flow and free fall penetrometers), with particular emphasis on practical experience and application of research findings. ... More

As CPTs play a major role in geo-engineering, CPT'18 will bring together the world's experts who are working to improve the quality and reduce the difficulties involved. The symposium will be attended by academics, researchers, consultants, practitioners, hardware/software suppliers, certifiers and students. It will be a unique opportunity for meeting people and sharing high-level knowledge.
